Heyansh Kumar raised India’s name around the world by hoisting the flag of India at Mount Everest Base Camp

New Delhi. 07. June. 2021. Heyansh Kumar, a 3 year 7 months 27 day boy from the outskirts of a village in Haryana’s Gurugram called Babra Bakipur is making headlines for becoming the youngest mountaineer in the world. Heyansh has made the country proud through his admirable action of showing exemplary determination in scaling Mount Everest Base Camp at such a young age. The base camp is located 5364 meter above sea level. His expedition was sponsored by Mankind Pharma. Mankind Pharma supported the young boy and facilitated by giving him 10 lakh to fund his training. The amount was given last year, which helped him in developing his skillsets.

Heyansh Kumar completed his formal training in Himachal Pradesh. He started the journey on 23rd April 2022 with his father Manjeet Kumar and made his way to Mount Everest Base Camp with the help of a proper travel plan. Throughout the journey, they stopped at Fagdeen, Namche Bazaar, Tongbaechu, Ferichi, Thukla, and Gorakshep before reaching the final destination. Earlier, the record was owned by four years and 4 months old, Advit Goleccha. To honour him, Deputy Commissioner Gurugram Nishant Kumar Yadav felicitated Heyansh for his undeterred resolve to scale Mount Everest at such a young age.
