Researchers at IIT Mandi have developed a flexible and durable 2D material (WS₂–PDMS) with the potential to transform wearable electronics, bendable smartphones, and health-monitoring devices.
This advancement addresses long-standing challenges associated with atomically thin materials, ensuring stability in air while facilitating the fabrication of flexible devices. Published in Advanced Functional Materials, this work also contributes to India’s National Quantum Mission and holds promising applications in quantum technologies, optoelectronics, and environmentally sustainable devices.
