National, 21 June 2025: The International Management Institute (IMI) Bhubaneswar welcomed the PGDM Batch of 2025–27 with an inspiring two-week Orientation Programme designed to foster academic curiosity, personal growth, and a deep connection with industry and society.
The inaugural session was graced by faculty members, incoming students, and distinguished guests, setting the tone for the transformative journey ahead.
Addressing the incoming batch, Prof. P C Biswal, Director, IMI Bhubaneswar, encouraged students to embrace their academic journey as a continuous process of learning and personal growth, rather than viewing it solely as a pathway to placements, “Maintain academic discipline, nurture your mental and physical well-being, and make time for extra-curricular activities. Be compassionate individuals who contribute meaningfully to society,” he said, underlining the institute’s ethos of responsible management education.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Suraj Malik, Founder and CEO of Legacy Growth, urged students to develop a deeper sense of purpose, “Focus on smart work and build your decision-making ability. Approach management with clarity, confidence, and involvement,” he advised, while sharing insights from his entrepreneurial journey and industry experiences.
Over the next two weeks, the Orientation Programme will feature sessions by industry experts, social leaders, and wellness professionals. Students will participate in activities focused on physical and mental well-being, including yoga and value-based workshops. These engagements reflect IMI Bhubaneswar’s mission to build well-rounded professionals equipped with both competence and conscience.
With its strong industry interface and values-driven pedagogy, IMI Bhubaneswar continues to strengthen its position as one of India’s leading B-schools focused on creating socially responsible, future-ready leaders.
