New Delhi, March 24, 2026: India and Taiwan are strengthening their strategic partnership in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital infrastructure, marked by the launch of the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion at the Convergence India Expo 2026. This is one of India’s premier technology and digital infrastructure Expo, ongoing from March 23–25, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, where the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion is located at Hall 5, Booth A5-150.
Taiwan Excellence (organized by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and executed by TAITRA) is spotlighting Taiwan’s global leadership across semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and AIoT, reinforcing its position as a premier “AI Tech Island.” As cross-sector collaboration deepens in electronics, renewable energy, and engineering services, Taiwan is playing a strategic role in advancing India’s Digital India and Smart Cities Mission agendas, driving scalable and future-ready digital infrastructure.
Built around the “Taiwan AI Island” theme, the pavilion highlights, demonstrates the seamless integration of advanced hardware and intelligent software into end-to-end solutions. Designed with a clean, tech-forward aesthetic and an open, transparent layout, the pavilion fosters a high-value B2B environment, enabling enterprises to engage directly with cutting-edge, AI-driven technologies and solution ecosystems. It will exhibit over 40 products from 17 award winning companies namely, Aaeon, Adlink, Aetina, Aplex, ARBOR, ASUSTOR, Chimei Motor, Datavideo, IBASE, Innodisk, Lanner, Phison, Planet, Transcend, Ufispace, Wincomm, Zyxel Networks.
They are divided across three zones, Edge AI and Industrial Computers, Next-generation data storage solution and Future communication and smart mobility, covering a complete ecosystem from underlying hardware, storage to top-level communications.
The launch of the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion at the Expo was anchored through a Press Meet themed “From Silicon to Solutions: Building India’s AI Infrastructure Backbone with Taiwan”. Speaking at the Meet, Ms. Estela Chen (Chen Yu-Chi), Executive Director, Economic Division, Taipei Economic and Cultural Center (TECC), India said, “bilateral trade between Taiwan and India reached a record high of 12.5 billion US dollars. This growing economic relationship continues to drive investment and deepen business cooperation between two sides. Taiwanese enterprises are actively investing in India’s electronics manufacturing, semiconductor and automotive sectors, while Indian businesses are discovering valuable opportunities in Taiwan’s Information Technology sector and engineering industries. India continues its rapid growth and modernization, The demands for digital infrastructure, smart manufacturing, and resilient supply chains are expanding at an lightning-fast pace.”
Following the opening remarks from Director Chen, representatives of five award-winning Taiwan companies namely Phison (AI storage), ADLINK & IBASE (Industrial AI), Lanner (Network security), and Wincomm, showcased comprehensive tech applications, demonstrating enterprise applications across industrial automation, edge computing, and high-performance data environments. Phison highlighted next-generation NAND and aiDAPTIV+ storage solutions for high-performance AI and enterprise applications. ADLINK showcased its EMP series of industrial-grade edge AI platforms for scalable, data-driven deployments. IBASE demonstrated rugged, hybrid edge AI systems powering automation across industries. Lanner presented AI-accelerated network appliances enabling secure, high-performance infrastructure, while Wincomm featured its WTP-9K66 series for reliable edge AI computing in demanding industrial and healthcare environments.
Adding a cultural edge to the showcase, the Taiwan Pavilion featured a futuristic “Taiwan AI Tech Island” rap and dance performance, bringing its innovation story to life. This fusion of art and technology offered media a refreshing, human-centric experience, creating a memorable takeaway beyond the tech on display. Popular actor Taapsee Pannu also attended the launch as a special guest further amplifying Taiwan Excellence’s growing engagement in India. With a background as a former software engineer, she brings a unique blend of technology expertise and entertainment appeal, making her an ideal ambassador to reinforce trust in Taiwanese products.
Throughout the expo, the pavilion will host product demonstrations, guided tours, and interactive sessions, providing opportunities for business collaboration and direct engagement between Indian enterprises and Taiwanese technology providers.
