JSW Group unites for sustainable development

One of the leading business houses in the country, JSW Group has united over 200 forward-thinking companies as the newest member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).

Seshagiri Rao, Joint Managing Director, Group CFO, and also a Board of Director of JSW Steel, will be representing JSW Group in WBCSD.

JSW Steel stated in a filing to BSE that Seshagiri Rao will take part in the WBCSD CFO network, which is pushing higher ESG performance within companies, and more successful exposure to capital markets.

The JSW Group is headquartered in India and is a $13 billion multinational amalgamate.

The group plays a vital role in pushing India’s economic growth by JSW’s inventive and sustainable presence in different sectors including infrastructure, venture capital, paints, sports, energy, cement, and steel.
