Pune, June: This June, JW Marriott Pune invites guests to discover the bold and fiery culinary traditions of Andhra Pradesh with Rayalaseema by Chef Rajeshwari, a specially curated regional food showcase at Spice Kitchen from 19th to 29th June. Celebrating the rich heritage of Rayalaseema region, the festival brings together authentic recipes, robust spices, rustic cooking techniques, and soulful hospitality that define one of South India’s most distinctive cuisines.
Curated by Chef Rajeshwari, who specializes in the cuisine of Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district, the menu offers a nuanced interpretation of Rayalaseema cuisine. Unlike the commonly perceived spice forward preparations associated with the region, her food carries subtle Tamil influences and thoughtfully incorporates ingredients such as coconut and peanuts, bringing balance, depth, and regional authenticity to every dish.
Guests can indulge in traditional specialties such as Alasanda Vada, Karimpakku Annam, Royala Roast, and the decadent Surma Ladoo, each reflecting the rustic flavours and culinary heritage of the region. Known for its liberal use of indigenous spices, sun-dried chillies, and slow-cooked preparations, Rayalaseema cuisine offers a memorable dining experience deeply rooted in culture and tradition. Complementing the bold flavours are classic regional beverages such as Majjiga and Panakam, completing the experience with comforting local touches.
The experience will be available for dinner during the festival, along with specially curated Sunday brunches that bring together regional favourites in a vibrant and immersive setting. Through Rayalaseema by Chef Rajeshwari, Spice Kitchen offers guests an opportunity to savour the authentic essence of Andhra’s celebrated culinary landscape for a limited time only.
