Mumbai, August 17, 2026: Killer Jeans, one of India’s leading youth-focused denim and fashion brands from Kewal Kiran Clothing Limited (KKCL), has unveiled its new Autumn/Winter 2026 campaign, ‘Genes of India’, featuring actor and brand ambassador Meezaan Jafri.
Built around the idea that India is defined not by one identity but by many, Genes of India brings together people from different cultural and regional backgrounds to celebrate the diversity of contemporary India.
At the heart of the campaign are denim jeans, a universal wardrobe staple that has travelled across geographies, generations and cultures to become an integral part of how young India expresses itself.
The campaign draws a playful connection between ‘Genes’ and ‘Jeans’ to show that just as our genes contribute to what makes each of us unique, the jeans we choose, style and wear become an expression of our individual identities.
From the streets of the North to the energy of the South, from the colours of the West to the distinctive character of the East, the campaign features models from all regions that reflect the many faces and styles of India.
Genes of India celebrates the differences in how Indians dress, express themselves and interpret fashion, reinforcing the message that there is no single way to look Indian, and there is no single way to wear Killer.
Commenting on the campaign, Hemant Jain, Joint Managing Director, Kewal Kiran Clothing Limited, said, “India has never been about one look or one identity. What makes us Indian is the incredible diversity of people, cultures, languages and lifestyles that coexist and evolve together. With Genes of India, we wanted to celebrate that diversity through something as universal as denim. The idea of ‘Genes’ and ‘Jeans’ gives us a distinctive way to talk about individuality while staying rooted in the spirit of contemporary India. Killer has always been about self-expression, and this campaign takes that thought to a much larger, national canvas.”
The campaign also reflects the evolving role of denim in Indian fashion. No longer restricted to a particular age group, city or subculture, jeans have become one of the most versatile and democratic pieces of clothing worn differently by college students, young professionals, creators, travellers and consumers across India.
Through Genes of India, Killer Jeans seeks to position denim not merely as a fashion category, but as a canvas for individuality, one that allows every wearer to bring their own culture, personality and style to the same essential garment.
