The hire brings one of the industry’s most experienced finance leaders onto the executive team as Komerz accelerates its global expansion and strategic acquisitions.
A Chartered Accountant with 20 years in marketing communications, Shahid joins from WPP, where he was Global CFO of WPP Specialist Communications and PR, leading finance across a broad multi-market portfolio of operating companies. Earlier in his career he held senior roles including CFO and then COO EMEA at Geometry Global, and Regional CFO for McCann Worldgroup EMEA. He has also served on listed and private company boards as both an advisor and Non-Executive Director.
At Komerz, Shahid will play a key role in scaling the company’s AI-powered commerce ecosystem, drawing on his track record of leading international businesses to drive strategic acquisitions, global expansion and long-term value creation. He will oversee group finance, capital allocation, investment strategy, fundraising, governance, performance management and investor relations as Komerz grows across its four global hubs.
