KRAFTON India Brings Nationwide College Campus Tour to Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore

College-led BGMI and Real Cricket tournaments create clear progression pathways from campus play to organised Esports competition

Bangalore, February 5, 2026: KRAFTON India is bringing its nationwide College Campus Tour to IISc Bengaluru on 6th, 7th and 8th February, marking a significant milestone for the local Esports community. As part of the second edition of its flagship grassroots initiative, the campus activation will integrate professionally structured tournaments directly into PRAVEGA-12 giving students their first opportunity to compete in an organized competitive environment.

Students at IISc will compete in BGMI and Real Cricket tournaments with standardized formats, experienced tournament oversight, and clear advancement pathways. Unlike casual gaming, participants will experience the structure and competitive intensity of professional Esports – complete with official rules, live commentary, and recognition for top performers.

The Bangalore leg is part of a nationwide expansion to 128 colleges, driven by overwhelming student demand. The tour’s first edition engaged over 50,000 students across India, with the program initially planned for 64 colleges but expanding to 85 – a 32% increase—before scaling to its current reach. This growth reflects the rising appetite for credible competitive platforms at the college level, particularly in emerging Esports hubs beyond metro cities.

Top-performing teams from IISc will advance beyond campus boundaries – progressing to zonal competitions where they’ll face the best college teams from across the region. High-performing teams from these zonal stages will earn invitations to higher-tier qualifiers within KRAFTON India’s broader competitive ecosystem, including pathways to flagship tournaments like BGIS and BMPS. For many students, this represents their first structured entry point into India’s rapidly professionalizing Esports landscape. The recent Union Budget 2025-26’s focus on Creator Labs and digital innovation infrastructure is expected to further accelerate grassroots talent development, strengthening the foundation for competitive gaming careers.

Karan Pathak, Associate Director – Esports, KRAFTON India, said: “What we’re seeing across campuses is a clear appetite for serious competition and recognition. Our goal is to meet students where they already are and give their passion a more meaningful direction. Initiatives like the Campus Tour allow us to listen, learn, and build Esports from the ground up alongside the community.”

By bringing structured competitive gaming to Bangalore, KRAFTON India is reinforcing Esports as a mainstream pursuit – one where passion, skill, and dedication can translate into tangible progression and opportunity..
