McDonald’s India celebrates its 25th year with “Memory Bites”

The famous American -food company McDonald’s was started in 1996 in India as a venture between Oak Brook III and two other local partners named Hard castle Restaurants Private Ltd in Western India, also Connaught Plaza restaurants private Ltd in Northern India.

Today India has over 304 outlets all-over the country. one of the primary junk foods most Indians would have had in their life would be from McDonald’s during their family visits to a close-by mall.

This remarkable journey of McDonald’s could be a milestone. The American fast-food company has its roots in civilisation. Hence what Indians could have expected and experienced may be a fast-food company with individualistic views and independent decisions.

But since their launch, they completely respected Indians and their culture. McDonald’s took the time and energy to acknowledge vegetarians and their requirements. They re-engineered their menu by having differing types of vegetarian dishes.

This could be the reason why the connection between McDonald’s and Indians has been going strong for 25 years. As a celebration of its 25th anniversary, it started an initiative called “Memory Bites”. The ’25 Acts of Happy’ campaign activations are available twice each month, watching the assorted occasions and brand activities planned by McDonald’s.

The foremost aim of the initiative is to encourage its consumers to remember their adoring memories with the golden arches chain and to tag them on social media to urge the McDonald’s treats as an exchange. The brand activation goes to begins in West and South India.

To announce the launch of this activation, a movie was idealized by DBB has been extended.

The film features several customers from different walks of life, at a McDonald’s counter, sharing their remarkable and significant experiences through photographs and artifacts for his or her memory bites.

Arvind RP, director – marketing and communications, McDonald’s India (West and South), said, “Completing 25 years in India will be a special milestone for us and it demands every day celebration. Through the ‘25 Acts of Happy’, we aim to excite our customers more throughout the year. We are starting the celebrations with Memory Bites, but you’ll see more activation through the year”.
