Hyderabad, 04th December 2020: Mercure Hyderabad KCP celebrated their annual fruit- ‘soak and mixing’ event keeping the spirit of the festive season alive. Cake Mixing is traditionally performed to celebrate the joyous spirit of Christmas and the start of winter festivities with good tidings, happiness, and lots of Christmas treats.

Christmas is incomplete without its traditional Christmas cake. Like every year, fruit mixing included red cherries, tutti-frutti, black currants, dates, almonds, cashew nuts, raisins dried apricots and figs along with an array of aromatic Indian spices like cinnamon powder, cloves powder, cardamom powder, dry ginger powder, nutmeg powder, and star anise. A selection of ‘spirit of the season’ in bottles – wine, rum, brandy, and whiskey amongst others were poured in abundance to soak the fruit in. The hotel also selected this day as it marked the first anniversary of ‘ALL- Accor Live Limitless’ , an exciting and engaging lifestyle loyalty programme of Accor.

Speaking on festivities, Soumitra Pahari, General Manager, Mercure Hyderabad KCP said, ”Soak and mix have become a tradition at Mercure Hyderabad KCP where every year it is celebrated with laughter and joy and we wanted to continue the tradition even in these unique times. Ensuring all the sanitation and hygiene priorities, cake mixing was celebrated with our family of heartiest, (our internal guests) and our member guests of ‘ALL- Accor Live Limitless’.”

The mix would be stored for about 15 days and the Christmas plum cake shall be available for orders from 22nd December onwards.
