Michelin-Starred French Restaurant Louise Comes to India: Le Cirque at The Leela Palace Bengaluru Hosts Chef Loïc Portalier for an Exclusive Culinary Event

Bengaluru, February 2026: In one of the most exciting international culinary collaborations of the year, Le Cirque at The Leela Palace Bengaluru proudly presents an exclusive pop-up in partnership with Louise, the prestigious one Michelin-starred French restaurant, led by celebrated Chef Loïc Portalier on 27 & 28 February 2026. This limited-period showcase marks a rare convergence of global fine-dining excellence, bringing Michelin-level artistry to Bengaluru for an unforgettable multi-course experience.

Nestled within a beautifully restored two-storey heritage house in PMQ, Hong Kong, Louise quickly earned a Michelin star within six months of its opening and continues to be recognised for its heart-felt, refined French cuisine rooted in seasonal precision and timeless technique. Helmed by Executive Chef Loïc Portalier, the restaurant’s menu reflects a creative blend of classic French tradition and contemporary interpretation, shaped by Portalier’s extensive training in some of Europe’s most revered kitchens, including Michelin-starred Epicure at Le Bristol Paris, Restaurant Paul Bocuse and Le Clos des Cîmes, making him one of today’s most exciting voices in fine dining.

Le Cirque Signature, a jewel in the crown of The Leela Palace Bengaluru’s distinguished culinary offerings, provides the perfect complement to this collaboration. Renowned for its elegant French-Italian fare, dramatic interiors and an ambience that evokes the romance of European dining rooms, Le Cirque has long stood as a destination for connoisseurs and lovers of classic cuisine.

The pop up will showcase specially curated tasting menus designed for both non-vegetarian and vegetarian diners. Structured as a refined multi-course European progression, the menu reflects the combined sensibilities of Le Cirque’s French-Italian elegance and Louise’s Michelin-starred finesse, celebrating seasonality, restraint and layered flavours.

Highlights from the menu include:

  • Mimolette Cheese Gougères with Louise spices and horseradish gel,
  • Tomato Water Consommé with kaffir lime and chilli oil,
  • Soupe Vichyssoise with caviar and dashi pain perdu (non-vegetarian),
  • Caramelized Onion Tart with Vin Jaune and Comté,
  • Line Caught Cod with sorrel sauce and sugar snap pea,
  • Chicken & Truffle Bottoni with morels sauce,
  • Vegetarian signatures such as Leek Terrine with sorrel sauce and nori butter,
  • A refined dessert progression including Orange & Saffron pre-dessert and a nostalgic Bread & Chocolate finale.

This collaboration between Le Cirque Signature and Louise not only represents a fusion of culinary philosophies but is also an important cultural moment for the Bengaluru dining scene, bringing a globally respected Michelin-starred restaurant and a chef of international acclaim to India’s Silicon Valley.
