Bangkok’s most celebrated and Michelin-recognised Thai dining institution brings its legacy to India with this launch. Today, Nara Thai spans 35 restaurants across Asia and the Middle East, with its flagship market earning Michelin Guide recognition. Together with the wider group’s footprint of 66+ outlets, this new opening celebrates the 67th milestone in Nara’s global journey.

Founded in Bangkok in 2003 by Narawadee Srikarnchana (Yuki) and Sirisopa Chulasewok (Jean), Nara Thai has earned international acclaim for translating Thailand’s culinary heritage into refined, contemporary dining experiences. Across Asia and the Middle East, the brand has become synonymous with authentic recipes, generous shared portions, premium ingredients and the signature warmth of Thai hospitality. The Gurugram opening marks Nara Thai’s 33rd global outpost and represents a significant step in Aditya Birla New Age Hospitality’s vision to bring iconic international dining brands to India.

 Nara Thai’s cuisine celebrates the essential Thai palette where sweet, sour, spicy, salty and umami come together with balance and precision. The strong culinary programme is complemented by a refined beverage offering featuring signature cocktails crafted with staples from the Thai pantry to highlight nuanced, layered flavours, alongside vibrant non-alcoholic refreshers and house-crafted boba teas. The menu for Gurugram showcases signature dishes such as Tom Yum Soup, Som Tam, Pad Thai and Massaman Curry, alongside exclusive recipes created specifically for India. Expansive vegetarian selections and thoughtful Jain friendly preparations ensure inclusivity without compromising authenticity. 

 All sauces, pastes and core ingredients are imported from Nara Bangkok, and the culinary team in India undergoes intensive training with Nara’s Bangkok masters. The global executive chef for Nara Group, Chef JC, travels regularly to India to ensure consistency, authenticity and the highest culinary standards.

 Designed as a high frequency premium dining destination, Nara Thai transitions effortlessly from corporate lunches to everyday dinners and celebratory evenings, making it relevant from day to night.

 The design story for Nara Thai Gurugram reflects the brand’s evolving global aesthetic, which began with the landmark redesign of Nara Worli in Mumbai. Created by renowned Thai interior designer Nitipattara Yensup, the interiors draw inspiration from the soul of Thai culture while embracing the contemporary energy of Indian cities.

 The space blends modern elegance with timeless Thai artistry through rattan accents, blue and white palettes, soft lighting, floral aromas and contemporary motifs. Cane walls, patterned flooring and gold tile detailing add warmth and refinement. With over 80 covers, including a private dining room, Nara Thai Gurugram is designed for both intimate occasions and group dining, setting a benchmark for future Nara openings in India.
