NH Studioz and LG Bring Traditional TV Channel-Style Viewing to the Streaming Generation

In a significant expansion of its connected TV and FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television) presence, NH Studioz has partnered with LG Electronics to bring five dedicated entertainment channels to LG Channels, the free streaming service available on compatible LG Smart TVs in India. The collaboration brings NH BollyFlix, NH BollyGold, NH BollyRaga, NH Tamil Gold and NH Namo to viewers, offering curated, always-on programming that combines the simplicity of traditional television with the accessibility of streaming. FAST allows viewers to watch curated channels for free, with programming supported by advertising, much like traditional television but delivered through an internet connection.

With a legacy spanning over four decades and a library of more than 5,000 films across 15+ languages, NH Studioz is among India’s largest film copyright holders. The Mumbai-based company, established in 1980, operates across film rights licensing, content acquisition, syndication and distribution, reaching audiences in more than 140 countries through partnerships with over 100 platforms.

NH BollyFlix brings contemporary Bollywood cinema to viewers, featuring films from the 2000s onwards, including Pink, October, Kabir Singh and Anjaana Anjaani, alongside performances by popular stars such as Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.

NH BollyGold celebrates the golden era of Indian cinema with timeless classics such as Sholay, Anand, The Burning Train and Gol Maal.

NH BollyRaga offers a musical journey through the rich heritage of Hindi cinema, bringing together iconic songs, memorable melodies and celebrated musical contributions, including compositions by R. D. Burman and the legendary voice of Lata Mangeshkar.

NH Tamil Gold showcases Tamil cinema across generations, featuring iconic stars such as Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan alongside contemporary favourites including Dhanush and Vijay, with a mix of popular entertainers and celebrated performances.

NH Namo focuses on devotional and spiritual programming, bringing India’s mythological and cultural heritage to viewers through beloved titles such as Ramayan, Shree Ganesha and Om Namah Shivay.

The partnership with LG marks another milestone in NH Studioz’s strategy to build a network of genre-led entertainment channels for connected television audiences. The company has been expanding its FAST presence across platforms, including Samsung TV Plus, JioTV, Airtel Xstream, TCL, Swift TV and RunnTV.

Speaking about the company’s vision, Shreyans Hirawat, Head – Film Business & Innovation, NH Studioz, said, “At NH Studioz, we have always believed that great content never loses its audience, it simply finds new ways to reach them. Over the years, technology has transformed how entertainment is consumed, but the charm of simply switching on the television and enjoying what is playing remains timeless. With one of India’s most extensive film libraries at our disposal, our vision is to bring that effortless viewing experience back through new-age technology.”

“Our partnership with LG marks another significant leap towards accomplishing this vision. We are not merely taking our library to new platforms; we are creating new destinations for audiences to rediscover the magic of Indian entertainment.” He added.

Brian Jung, Director, Media Entertainment Solution, LG Electronics India, said, “India’s audiences have always had a deep affinity for Bollywood content, and we are committed to bringing that experience to Connected TV viewers in the most accessible way possible.”

“With over 150 free channels spanning movies, entertainment, music, and regional content, LG Channels continues to strengthen its position as a premier FAST destination, and this expansion of our Bollywood offering is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, free entertainment to households across the country.” He added.
