NIIMS Medical College, Greater Noida Organized White Coat Ceremony for MBBS Batch 2025

Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh: Noida International Institute of Medical Sciences (NIIMS), a constituent institution of Noida International University (NIU), successfully organized the White Coat Ceremony for the MBBS Batch 2025, marking a significant milestone for the newly inducted medical students as they step into the world of healthcare with commitment and responsibility.

The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome extended by Dr. Mithila, MEU Coordinator, NIIMS, followed by the traditional Lamp Lighting ceremony led by esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. Vikram Singh, Chancellor, NIU; Dr. Uma Bhardwaj, Vice-Chancellor, NIU; Dr. S.N. Gupta, Director, NIIMS; Dr. Ashutosh Niranjan, Dean, NIIMS; and Dr. Ashish Marwaha, Medical Superintendent, NIIMS.

Dr. Vikram Singh, Chancellor, Noida International University, said, “At today’s White Coat Ceremony, I want every student to remember that medicine is a lifelong commitment to serving humanity. As you wear this white coat, you carry forward the values of compassion, integrity, and excellence that NIIMS stands for. I am confident that our students will rise to become outstanding medical professionals and contribute meaningfully to society.”

Prof. (Dr.) Uma Bhardwaj, Vice-Chancellor, Noida International University, said, “Witnessing our students don the white coat today is a moment of immense pride for me. This coat is more than a garment—it symbolizes responsibility, ethics, and service. From this day forward, you stand at the intersection of knowledge and empathy. I encourage each one of you to remain curious, stay committed to lifelong learning, and strive to make a positive difference in every patient’s life.”

Dr. S. N. Gupta, Director, NIIMS Medical College & Hospital, said, “As you evolve into doctors, sharpen your clinical acumen with every patient you see. Embrace AI as a powerful ally in learning, diagnosis, and care—but never let it replace compassion. Treat every member of the community as your own family; when empathy guides your clinical skills, excellence in medicine naturally follows.

Dr. Ashutosh Niranjan, Dean, NIIMS Medical College, said, “Students should take responsibility for themselves—be punctual, stay alert, and actively engage in every class, practical, and tutorial. Participate wholeheartedly in all college activities, because this phase of your life is the foundation where discipline shapes competence and learning becomes lifelong.”

Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries inspired students with motivational words that highlighted the values of compassion, ethics, and lifelong learning essential for the medical profession.

As the core highlight of the event, the MBBS students of Batch 2025 were invited in groups to don the White Coat, a symbolic representation of their entry into the noble medical profession. This moment reaffirmed their commitment to medical ethics and patient-centered care.

Following the robing ceremony, Dr. Ashish Marwaha, Medical Superintendent, administered the Maharishi Charak Shapath, reinforcing professional conduct, integrity, and dedication among the budding medical professionals.

The ceremony concluded with a message of encouragement, urging the students to uphold the highest standards of healthcare as they begin their transformative journey in medicine.
