Mumbai, November 3, 2026: Nippon Paint India, through its Industrial Coatings business, is set to introduce NIPPON CERAMO, a globally established shop primer and pre-fabrication primer, to the Indian marine industry. This launch is part of the company’s strategy to introduce its marine coatings portfolio and bring world-class, proven technologies to India.
Widely recognised across international shipyards, NIPPON CERAMO is a high-performance, low-zinc inorganic shop primer designed to protect steel during fabrication while improving welding, cutting and operational efficiency.

NIPPON CERAMO addresses key fabrication challenges, including coating damage during welding and cutting, zinc-fume generation, and additional surface-preparation requirements.
