In this role, she will lead Progress Software India operations and regional HR strategies, advancing the company’s AI innovation and strengthening its position as a key center for world-class talent.

With more than three decades of experience in global technology and product-led organizations, Girija has a strong record of leading large engineering teams, driving transformation and aligning business and people strategies to deliver sustained value. Her leadership journey includes senior roles at Progress Software and Oracle, where she led distributed teams and spearheaded major transformation initiatives. She began her career as a scientist at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
Girija holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Malnad College of Engineering, Mysore University. A champion of inclusive leadership and talent development, she has founded and supported programs focused on strengthening women’s leadership pipelines and mentoring early-career professionals.
