Rajiv Acharya Conferred with the Title of Sahitya Mahopadhyay

September 2025: At a grand ceremony organized by the Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, Prayagraj, Rajiv Acharya was honored with the prestigious honorary title of Sahitya Mahopadhyay.

The chief guest of the event was Hon’ble Justice Shri Anis Kumar Gupta of the Allahabad High Court. Expressing his gratitude to the Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, Prayagraj, for its efforts in promoting Hindi, Justice Gupta said that Hindi is the language of society and that everyone must contribute to its growth at every level.

On this occasion, Rajiv Acharya highlighted the importance and usage of Hindi and extended his heartfelt thanks to the Sammelan. He stated that Hindi is the only language with the capacity to embrace all, and no other language in the world can evoke the same depth of feeling that Hindi does. He added that for Hindi lovers, Swami Vivekananda’s historic address at the World Parliament of Religions remains an eternal inspiration, which was also beautifully expressed by former Prime Minister Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Professor Lalta Prasad Yadav emphasized the need to make Hindi compulsory. The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the chief guest.

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Shri Kuntak Mishra, Prime Minister of the Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, Prayagraj; Sheshmani Pandey; Professor Lalta Yadav; Professor Saroj Singh, among others. The proceedings were conducted by Sheshmani Pandey of the Hindi Sahitya Sammelan.
