November, 2026: Couture label Shantnu & Nikhil has been spending time in a watch studio. The couturiers are working with India’s first design-led watch house, ROTORIS, on a piece for its Manifesta collection, the line known for dials cut from stone.
ROTORIS Manifesta: A Dial Cut from Stone
The piece is part of the Manifesta new release, the ROTORIS collection known for dials cut from a single semi-precious stone. Each stone has its own veining, colour and depth, giving every dial a distinct character. The result is a surface that cannot be replicated exactly.
Solid 18KT white gold details on the nameplate and the bridge over the open-heart display bring a precious contrast to the stone dial. The watch retains a classic, sartorial silhouette, designed to sit naturally beneath a cuff and complement tailoring.
Beneath the dial, the Japanese Miyota 82S0 automatic movement features an open-heart display, offering a view of the mechanics at work.
