New Delhi, 22nd October 2026 – Shalimar Paints, a pioneer in the Indian paint industry for over 120 years, has introduced Shalimar Prastavana, its first-ever exclusive Painter Empowerment Initiative under the Shalimar Expert Program. Launched ahead of the festive season, the initiative aims to recognise the contribution of painters while extending meaningful support towards their professional development, wellbeing and family security.
Built around the belief that “Every Painter is a Hero”, Prastavana moves beyond conventional loyalty-led engagement to focus on the broader needs of the painter community. Through these efforts, Shalimar Paints seeks to strengthen its engagement with painters by supporting their professional growth and personal wellbeing. Under the initiative, Shalimar painters will have access to benefits including accidental death and permanent or partial disability coverage, tele-medical consultations and AI Medi Insights, with Hospi-Cash benefits also included as part of the programme. As part of the program, Shalimar Paints is providing skill development and certifications as well. As part of its wider engagement with painters, Shalimar Paints provides educational resources and training videos through a dedicated painter focussed Facebook page: Shalimar Expert Program. The initiative will be complemented by the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen painter education, information and training.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr Kuldip Raina, MD & CEO, Shalimar Paints, said, “Painters play a vital role in transforming spaces through their skill, craftsmanship and dedication. Through Prastavana, we aim to extend our commitment beyond the products we create by supporting their wellbeing, professional development and family security. We believe that empowering painters with access to healthcare, insurance protection and skill development opportunities is an important step towards recognising their contribution and supporting their growth. With Prastavana, we reaffirm our commitment to the people whose hands help build India, enabling them to pursue their profession with greater confidence and security.”
Prastavana reflects Shalimar Paints’ broader commitment to investing in the community that plays a vital role in bringing its products to consumers. By combining recognition with access to healthcare, financial protection and professional development, the initiative seeks to create a more supportive ecosystem for painters and their families.
Through Shalimar Expert and initiatives such as Prastavana, the company aims to deepen its relationship with painters while encouraging skill development and creating opportunities for long-term growth. Through Rangeela, its painter mascot featured in social media and YouTube content, Shalimar Paints also seeks to make painter education on new products and empowerment more accessible. The initiative reinforces Shalimar Paints’ belief that empowering painters is an important part of building a stronger, more connected community.
