HYDERABAD, INDIA — AUGUST 5, 2026 — In a powerful demonstration of collective action, the Hyderabad edition of the Share Our Strength’s Charity Soirée successfully concluded. The evening was curated in partnership with The QUORUM Hyderabad, National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI), Hyderabad Chapter, Youth Feed India Foundation and supported by corporate partners such as StoneX, Amrapali Jewels.
The gala moved beyond traditional philanthropy to build a vibrant community of patrons, corporates, culinary titans and cause advocates. The convening emerged as a dynamic new platform for leaders to come together for a deserving cause of ensuring nutrition and education for children.
Empowering the Future Generation Through Collective Action
The underlying theme of the evening centered on intentional collaboration, specifically highlighting a shared commitment to complement the ongoing efforts of the government in empowering India’s future generation. By ensuring children receive the foundational nourishment they need, the initiative aims to build a stronger, healthier, and more capable youth populace.
The meaningful gathering was further elevated by Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary to Government of Telangana who joined alongside senior corporate leaders. The coming together of this unique cohort emphasized the importance of creating ongoing opportunities for corporate citizenship, individual responsibility and culinary influence to seamlessly unite.
Celebrating Generosity with the Elegance of Craft
To honor the patrons, the Charity Soirée was designed as a true celebration of generosity paired with the elegance of craft. Guests were treated to an extraordinary, multi-course menu collaboratively designed by a roster of India’s most celebrated chefs, Manish Mehrotra (Nisaba), Varun Totlani (Masque), Joakim Prat (Roast CCX), Shankar Krishnamurthy (Voilà F9 Gourmet) and Vignesh Ramachandran (Theta Theta Telugu)
Through their meticulously crafted dishes, the chefs demonstrated that the hospitality industry can offer more than just a memorable dining experience—it can serve as a catalyst for profound social change. An enchanting performance by Michael Ballem on the piano added another dimension to the blend of craftsmanship.
Driving Nourishment Across India
Share Our Strength, a global movement dedicated to empowering children with nutrition, education and hope, formalized its Indian operations in 2024. The organization has already made monumental strides in complementing the efforts of central & state governments through its network of grassroots partners.
The evening marked the beginning of a new partnership between Share Our Strength and Youth Feed India Foundation(YFI). The patrons present in the room committed wholehearted support for their collaborative project, focused on improving health and nutrition of children from daily wage worker families living in Hyderabad’s urban slums and adopted brick kiln communities.
Speaking on the occasion Chuck Scofield: Exec. Vice President Share Our Strength said: We are deeply honored to work with all our partners who shared their strength to create a new platform and a dedicated community of patrons that complements regional & national efforts of the government to empower the future generation.”
Adding to this Srikant Peri: COO, The Quorum said“-At the Quorum, we’ve always believed that a strong community is one that gives as much as it receives. This evening is an opportunity for us to come together and extend the spirit of giving back to society. It has been a privilege to host such a meaningful gathering in support of a deserving cause.”
Chef Manish Mehrotra, Nisaba said-“It’s an honor to be a part of this endeavor along with my peers from the culinary fraternity and to share our strength for a meaningful cause focused on advancing our future generation.”
Shaaz Mehmood: Founder, NRAI Hyderabad Chapter and President, Youth Feed India Foundation said-The restaurant industry connects with millions of people every day, and that gives us a rare ability to turn everyday hospitality into real change. Evenings like the Hyderabad Charity Soirée show what’s possible when the restaurant community lends its strength to a cause, using the simple act of sharing a meal to help end childhood hunger, one child at a time.
Jayesh Ranjan: Special Secretary to Govt. of Telangana said –It is encouraging to see new models and platforms of public-private partnership emerging to advance the core-mission of ensuring healthy, educated future generations. These complementary and catalytic efforts are key to achieve the shared goals of a developed country, sooner and in a comprehensive manner.
