Speaking about playing Mona, a yesteryear actress caught between who she was and who she’s becoming, Krystle D’Souza shared, “My character,Mona, has seen the highs and lows of fame, and the emptiness that sometimes follows. I don’t think I really had to do much to play an actor on screen because that’s all I’ve done for 17 years of my life. So I was just being a human, and that’s what an actor is at the end of the day. It was just me playing a normal human being who has a profession, like anybody else. Mona comes with experience. She has seen the industry’s darker side, which leaves a mark on most actors. She is a little more intelligent and much slower paced than I am. I used to joke that she’s me at 0.5x speed.”
