Sirona in collaboration with Bharat Ki Beti Foundation conducts Menstrual Cup Training for Female Police Officers in Jaipur

Sirona Hygiene Foundation, the CSR arm of leading FemTech brand Sirona, conducted menstrual cup training for 150 female police officers in Jaipur.

New Delhi, December 14, 2022: Sirona is India’s leading FemTech brand that offers innovative period, intimate, and toilet hygiene products. Recently, Sirona Hygiene Foundation, the CSR arm of the company joined hands with Bharat Ki Beti Foundation to conduct a menstrual cup training workshop for the women police force in Jaipur. Held at Police Lines Jaipur, the activity also included a session on basic menstruall hygiene, followed by the distribution of free menstrual cups by the brand. The initiative is part of ‘Project Laakhon Khwaishiyen’ undertaken by Sirona Hygiene Foundation with the aim of ‘Cupverting’ one lakh menstruators in India.

ADll DCP Jaipur Police, Sunita Meena, Police Inspector Kavita Punia and Sub Police Inspector Sunita Chaudhary were present at the event, supporting this cause for women’s menstrual health. A total of 150 female police officers were part of the session. 

Sunita Meena, ADll DCP Jaipur Police, shared her thoughts saying, “Periods have always been a taboo topic and conversations around it do not happen openly. There are new ways of managing periods and Sirona Hygiene Foundation along with Bharat ki Beti Foundation have collectively taken a great initiative of spreading knowledge about menstrual cups and distributing them among 150 police women.”

Elaborating on the initiative, Dr Aarushi Kehar Malhotra, Lead – CSR Initiatives at Sirona said,We at Sirona are focused on positively impacting the lives of menstruators, be it through our products or our initiatives. From initiatives like AAAN that helped sex workers of GB road switch to menstrual cups to contributing a rupee from the sale of every product Sirona sold to the Sirona Hygiene Foundation, the brand undertakes social responsibility initiatives diligently. Sirona so far has donated over 5,000 cups to underprivileged menstruators in an effort to end period poverty under Project Laakhon Khwahishein.
