March 07, 2026: Skål International India reinforced its growing stature within the travel and tourism industry with a strong and strategic presence at two of Asia’s leading travel trade platforms — OTM 2026 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai and SATTE 2026 at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi.
At OTM Mumbai, Skål International India hosted a vibrant Open Networking Session, bringing together a huge number of Skålleagues across India and from various parts of the world. The lively gathering reflected the organisation’s enduring ethos of professional friendship and collaboration, creating a dynamic platform for meaningful conversations, industry engagement, and cross-border opportunities within the Skål fraternity.
Skål International India carried this momentum forward at SATTE 2026, beginning the event with a high-energy opening day that featured media briefings, strategic stakeholder meetings, and the Skål International India National Committee meeting, attended by club presidents or their nominees along with the national board.
Key discussions focused on strengthening and expanding Skål clubs across India while advancing preparations for the Skål India National Congress 2026 in Coimbatore, expected to bring together tourism leaders and industry stakeholders from across the country.
The Skål stand at SATTE emerged as a vibrant meeting point for members and industry colleagues, facilitating conversations, networking, and new opportunities in the true spirit of Doing Business Among Friends.
Significantly, 2026 also marks the first-ever pan-India partnership between Skål International India and both Informa Markets and Fairfest Media, organisers of SATTE and OTM, respectively, covering their travel trade events across the country.
Many international buyers who are Skål members from several countries attended the show, while Skålleagues participating as sellers took the initiative to organise buyer–seller meetings that resulted in highly productive interactions.
Sanjeev Mehra, President, Skål International India, said: “Our strong presence at both OTM and SATTE reflects the growing strength and relevance of Skål International India within the travel trade ecosystem. By creating platforms where members can connect, collaborate and grow together, we continue to uphold the values of the world’s largest travel and tourism professional organisation. Our first-ever pan-India collaboration with Informa Markets and Fairfest Media further strengthens our engagement with the industry and reinforces Skål’s commitment to building a strong and connected travel community across India.”
Together, the two events underscored Skål International India’s expanding leadership role in the industry while strengthening its mission of Doing Business Among Friends.
