South Indian Bank Sweeps IBA Banking Awards 2024-25

Chennai, 14th January 2026: South Indian Bank (SIB) yet again delivered an exceptional performance at the IBA Banking Technology Awards 2024–25, securing six podium finishes across seven categories and reinforcing its position as a technology-forward institution in the Indian banking ecosystem.

The Bank emerged as a Winner in the ‘Best Tech Talent’ category and was declared Runner-Up in three key categories:

  • Best AI-ML Adoption
  • Best Tech Bank 
  • Best Digital Sales 

In addition, South Indian Bank received Special Mentions for ‘Best Fintech & Digital Payment Index Adoption’ and ‘Best IT & Risk Management’, reflecting its strong focus on innovation, digital adoption, and risk governance.

The awards were presented by Sri Rabi Sankar, Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India, in the presence of Sri Deepak Phatak, Professor Emeritus, IIT Mumbai and Jury Chairman, and Sri A K Goel, Chief Executive, Indian Banks’ Association (IBA), at a grand ceremony held in Mumbai.

On behalf of South Indian Bank, the awards were received by Mr. Vinod A N, SGM – Treasury; Mr. Ritesh Bhusari, JGM – Treasury; Ms. Ramya Udayan, AGM – MSME; Mr. Avanish Pius, AGM – Credit Department; and Mr. Raghunath A, AGM – DTD.

This achievement marks the second consecutive year that South Indian Bank has won the ‘Best Tech Talent’ award at the IBA Banking Technology Awards 2024–25, underscoring the Bank’s continued legacy of excellence. These recognitions underscore South Indian Bank’s sustained focus on building robust digital capabilities, nurturing technology talent, strengthening risk management frameworks, and leveraging advanced technologies such as AI and ML to enhance customer experience and operational excellence.
