New Delhi, August 28, 2025: India’s sports startup ecosystem is preparing for a major boost with the launch of the SPORTSCOM ‘Giving Wings to Dreams’ Conclave, the first edition of a platform designed exclusively for early-stage sports enterprises. The event will take place on August 25, 2025, at the Shangri-La Eros Hotel, New Delhi, with the backing of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.
Conceived as an industry-first initiative, the conclave will bridge the gap between sports startups seeking seed and pre-seed capital and investors with fund sizes of up to USD 2 million. The highlight of the event will be a live pitching session, which will see selected sports ventures present to Inflection Point Ventures, SucSEED Indovation, Marwah Sports, Real Time Angel Fund, and Lead Invest. Strengthening the pipeline, IIT Madras, AIC IIT Delhi, and Amity Innovation and Incubation Centre will provide incubation support.
Senior government officials including Mr. Hari Ranjan Rao, Secretary, Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, and Dr. Shobhit Jain, Joint Secretary (Development) will headline the event, joined by SPORTSCOM leadership and industry figures such as Mr. Jalaj Dani, President, SPORTSCOM, Mr. Vivek Singh, Joint MD, ProCam, and Mr. Udit Sheth, MD, TransStadia. Investors, including Mr. Chintan Vyas (Inflection Point Ventures) and Dr. Vibhuti Agarwal (Real Time Angel Fund), will provide perspectives from the funding side.
Mr. Jalaj Dani, President, SPORTSCOM, said: “The Giving Wings to Dreams Conclave is a pioneering step towards building a strong and sustainable sports startup ecosystem in India. By bringing together government, investors, and industry leaders, we aim to create the environment for ideas to flourish into impactful enterprises that contribute to India’s sporting growth story.”
The conclave is also designed as a thought-leadership hub with plenary sessions on key themes, such as Investment Playbook: What VCs Look for in Sports Startups, Make in India for the World: How Startups Can Lead the Next Wave of Sports Manufacturing, and From Idea to Impact: Scaling a Sports Startup.
Corporate India has lined up behind the initiative, with Dani Sports Foundation, Nivia, and Cosco India as Platinum Partners; Jetsynthesys, Procam International, Transtadia Education & Research Foundation, Nutra Supplements, and T10 Sports as Prime Partners; and contributions from Shiv Naresh, Savi International, Thar Ventures, Krida Legal, and Resurgent India.
With more than 200 delegates expected, ranging from policymakers and federations to investors, manufacturers, and sports-tech innovators, the conclave is positioned as a catalyst for India’s sports industry, where policy meets capital and ideas meet opportunity.
