Star Pravah, Maharashtra’s leading entertainment destination, is set to premiere its next landmark show ‘Mi Savitribai Jyotirao Phule’ a moving retelling of the life and legacy of Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule, India’s first woman teacher and one of the most influential reformers of her time. Portraying the formidable duo, Madhurani Gokhale steps into the role of Savitribai Phule, while Dr. Amol Kolhe essays Mahatma Jyotirao Phule. Produced by Jagdamba Creations, the show chronicles the couple’s extraordinary journey from challenging entrenched orthodoxy to championing women’s education, equality, and dignity.
Set in 19th-century Maharashtra, Mi Savitribai Jyotirao Phule captures the spirit of a woman who defied societal expectations at a time when education for girls was forbidden. Together with her husband, Savitribai Phule ignited a movement that redefined social justice and laid the foundation for a more inclusive India.

Dr. Amol Kolhe, portraying Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and producing the show, added:
