Mohali, Punjab, September 8, 2026: T10 Cricket India Federation today officially launched the Super T10 League, unveiling its leadership structure, official kit partnership and six city-based franchises at a press conference held at the ITC Hotel in Mohali. The announcement was made by Sushil Sharma, Founder, T10 Cricket India Federation; Sushil Malik, Co-Founder & Director, T10 Cricket India Federation; and Shreya Prabhu, CEO, T10 Cricket India Federation.
Former India wicketkeeper and former chairman of the BCCI Selection Committee Kiran More has been appointed League Commissioner of the Super T10 League. Indian sportswear and sports equipment brand Shiv-Naresh has been named the league’s Official Kit Partner.
The Super T10 League has been conceived as a platform to give emerging and grassroots cricketers greater opportunities to compete alongside established players and demonstrate their ability in a professional T10 environment. The league plans to build a structured talent identification and development pathway through trials, talent scouting networks and franchise-level programmes.
As part of the launch, the organisers also announced six city-based franchises – Mumbai Extreme, Delhi Legends, Bihar Yodhas, Chennai Kings, Bengaluru Thunders and UP Challengers.
As League Commissioner, Kiran More will oversee the league’s cricketing standards, player interests and administrative framework. Commenting on the launch, Kiran More, League Commissioner, Super T10 League, said, “India has never been short of cricketing talent. What has often been missing are enough structured platforms where that talent can be identified and given an opportunity to prove itself. The Super T10 League has been created with the objective of addressing that gap. As League Commissioner, my focus will be on ensuring that the league’s cricketing standards, player interests and administrative framework remain aligned with its purpose and ambition.”
The league is intended to provide a pathway for players who may not otherwise have sufficient opportunities to gain visibility and compete at a higher level. Through its proposed trials, scouting network and franchise-level development programmes, the Super T10 League aims to create a more organised system for identifying and nurturing talent.
Sushil Sharma, Founder, T10 Cricket India Federation, said, “The Super T10 League is about creating more opportunities for talented cricketers to demonstrate their ability and earn recognition. We want to build a fast-paced and competitive platform where emerging players can compete alongside established names, supported by strong franchises and professional administration. We believe the league can make a meaningful contribution to India’s wider sporting ecosystem.”
Sushil Malik, Co-Founder & Director, T10 Cricket India Federation, said, “From the outset, our focus has been on putting in place the operational and administrative framework required to turn this vision into a professionally run league. This includes franchise formation, regulatory compliance, player systems and broadcast planning. We are building the processes and infrastructure required to operate a professional league with the potential to grow over the long term.”
Shiv-Naresh Joins as Official Kit Partner
Shiv-Naresh will provide playing and official kits for players, teams and match officials during the league’s inaugural season. The partnership marks the first major commercial association announced by the Super T10 League. The organisers said discussions with additional sponsors and franchise partners are also underway.
City-Based Franchise Model
The Super T10 League will operate on a city-based franchise model, with sponsorship and broadcast partnerships forming part of its commercial structure. The league also plans to use digital platforms to build fan engagement and connect with younger audiences, in keeping with the short-format and fast-paced nature of T10 cricket. Shreya Prabhu, CEO, T10 Cricket India Federation, is overseeing the league’s franchise and administrative framework, including the development of city-based franchises, partnerships and regulatory compliance.
