Suryakumar Yadav Back EM5 as Investor and Partner

6th February 2026, New Delhi — EM5, a homegrown Indian D2C fragrance brand, announced Indian cricketer and T20 Captain Suryakumar Yadav (SKY) as its Investor and Partner. The association marks the start of a strategic partnership between the brand and the cricketer, aimed at building cultural relevance and scale through digitally native storytelling. 

Founded in 2022, EM5 was created to make high-performance fragrances more accessible to Indian consumers. The brand focuses on crafting scents that feel familiar and easy to adopt, moving away from heavily aspirational fragrance narratives and instead tapping into everyday Indian moods, confidence, and lived experiences. 

Suryakumar Yadav’s association with EM5 is rooted in strong audience alignment and shared sensibilities. Known for his grounded personality off the field and strong resonance with a wide, younger audience online, SKY reflects the kind of substance-driven, confident consumer EM5 speaks to. His role as Investor and Partner underscores the strategic nature of the partnership rather than a one-off endorsement. 

The partnership was introduced through a digital-first announcement film that plays on SKY’s widely recognised internet persona and his love for the movie Phir Hera Pheri. 

Commenting on the partnership, Shashank Chourey, Founder, EM5, said,
