Bengaluru,8th September 2026: The fourth edition of the Bengaluru Squash Open 2026, with White Lotus Group as the title sponsor, will see over 300 squash players from 18 states at The Bengaluru Club from 9 to 13 September 2026. Part of the Squash Rackets Federation of India 3 Star National Circuit, the SAK-recognised tournament will feature Abhyuday Naudiyal, runner-up at the Uttarakhand Squash Open and Northern Squash Slam 2025, along with upcoming young players Gautham Atmakur and Advaith Thottapayil, across Junior, Open and Masters categories.
The tournament is partnered by South India’s leading design-led luxury real estate developer, The White Lotus Group (WLG), as its title sponsor. At White Lotus, the belief has always been in crafting spaces where ambition can unfold and excellence can thrive. This belief has also shaped the Group’s long-standing association with sport, with its residential developments incorporating sports and wellness amenities as part of its approach to active community living.
For White Lotus, sport reflects a broader philosophy around how excellence is built. Mastery does not come from trying a hundred things, but from returning to one thing, again and again, until practice becomes instinct. The Group sees a similar approach in its own work, prioritising depth over volume , focussing on the details, and consistently refining its understanding of what a home and community can be.
Squash, in particular, reflects this philosophy. A sport that demands focus, precision, discipline and repetition, it has traditionally been a discerning game, attracting those who value precision over spectacle. . This resonates with one of White Lotus Group’s core tenets: RARE, the belief that depth will always outlast volume, and that being understood by the right few matters more than being noticed by everyone else. The Group’s association with the Bengaluru Squash Open 2026 extends this philosophy by supporting the sport and providing young players with a platform to compete at the national level.
The five-day tournament will feature draws across the U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19 junior categories, along with Open and Masters categories. The event will bring together young and emerging talent alongside experienced players, giving competitors an opportunity to compete against players from across the country.
The finals will be held on 13 September.
Pavan Kumar, Founder, White Lotus Group, an avid squash player himself, said, “At White Lotus, we have always believed in crafting spaces where ambition can unfold and excellence can thrive. It is why we have felt a strong kinship with sport for a long time. Every sport eventually teaches the same lesson: mastery is not built by trying a hundred things. It is built by returning to one thing, again and again, until it becomes instinct.
We have chased something similar in our own work. Rather than pursuing a hundred ideas of what a home could be, we have focused on one conviction and tested and sharpened it with every project. That conviction is that a home should turn the repetition of everyday life into something closer to a ritual than a mundanity.
That is why we are proud to stand as the title sponsor of the Bengaluru Squash Open 2026. We look forward to supporting the sport, providing young players with a platform to compete and watching them grow through the tournament.”
The tournament comes at an important time for squash, with the sport set to make its Olympic debut at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. With growing participation across junior and senior levels in India, events such as the Bengaluru Squash Open 2026 continue to provide competitive exposure to players and contribute to the growth of the sport.
Mekhala Srivastava, Tournament Director, Bengaluru Squash Open Organising Committee, said, “The Bengaluru Squash Open 2026 has grown meaningfully over the past four editions, both in terms of participation and the level of competition. Moving to the 3 Star SRFI National Circuit has further strengthened the tournament and given players from different parts of the country an opportunity to compete in Bengaluru. With more than 300 players expected from 18 states this year, we are looking forward to another competitive edition and, importantly, to creating a strong platform for young players who are building their journey in the sport.”
The White Lotus Bengaluru Squash Open 2026 will be held from 9 to 13 September 2026 at The Bengaluru Club.
