Women of 21st century in India are taking the helm, unafraid to make their presence felt. They have a hard time juggling work and home responsibilities. They live hectic lifestyles by equally managing the household responsibilities and the pressures of fast-paced work environment. They have emerged as leaders, entrepreneurs and everyday heroes. Gone are the days, when women were confined to their homes and accepted gender stereotypes. Today’s women are active and constantly on-the-move to achieve their goals and attend to their responsibilities, at the same time.

Today’s work demands emphasis on adopting a nutritious diet, regular exercise and setting aside time for self-care; to stay powered up for taking on the world, day in and day out. “Power women need power breakfast, there’s no two ways about it.” says Tejaswini Manogna, ‘INDIA’s BEST CADET-NCC (Army, Navy & AIRFORCE), Miss India Earth 2019, known for balancing many roles, such as Doctor, Bharatnatyam artist, yogini, philanthropist and youth ambassador, who features in Saffola’s latest digital campaign.

She adds, “I am known for balancing my passions, but not everyone knows that I wake up at 5.00 am every single day, do yoga, followed by Bharatnatayam practice. Then I prepare breakfast that is packed with nutrition to keep me going through the day. Similarly, squash champion Dipika Pallikal, holder of the nation’s highest honours like the Arjuna Award and Padma Shri, and sports presenter Bhavna Balakrishnan, female commentator during the 2019 Cricket World Cup, who is also a musical sensation, RJ and Columnist, feature in the campaign.

Most people believe that these path-breakers became an ‘overnight success’. Balakrishnan explains, “Moving from Chennai to Mumbai and starting all over again was quite a challenge. Those were some of the most testing times of my career, but I wanted to set an example that women can not only survive in a man’s world, but also excel in it. What really kept me going was the steady routine that I followed and that has led to my success.”

Even though these power women have their own unique journeys, the one thing they share is an unparalleled commitment and consistent routine that set them on the path to success. Pallikal adds, “I moved out of my house at thirteen to train better. Lived out of a suitcase in a foreign land. Woke up early every day to make myself a healthy breakfast. And even now, not much has changed. I wake up early, workout, attend to my little ones and make sure to grab a nutritious breakfast made with the goodness of oats!”
