Trilegal Partner, Nikhil Narendran, from its Technology , Media and Telecommunications Practice has assumed office as President of the iTechLaw, one of the world’s leading global associations dedicated to technology law. Nikhil assumed the role at iTechLaw’s World Technology Law Conference in Chicago, becoming one of the few leaders from South Asia to hold this position and marking an important milestone for India’s growing influence in global technology law and policy discussions.
iTechLaw is an international technology law association that brings together legal professionals from across jurisdictions to exchange knowledge, share perspectives, and engage with emerging legal and policy issues arising from technological innovation. Nikhil’s appointment comes at a defining moment for technology regulation globally, as governments, regulators, and institutions navigate complex questions around artificial intelligence, data governance, digital rights, emerging technologies, and the evolving relationship between technology and society. A longstanding member of iTechLaw, Nikhil has been associated with the organisation for over a decade and has previously served in multiple leadership positions including Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Board Member. Over the years, he has played a key role in advancing the organisation’s work, including co-chairing iTechLaw India conferences and contributing to thought leadership initiatives on emerging technologies and responsible AI.
