Mumbai, 20th December 2025: WalkAbout, India’s community platform for active agers, successfully hosted the WalkAbout Senior Games 2025 today 20th December at Mumbai, Turfstation, Juhu sponsored by Raymond Realty and HDFC Bank. Transforming the venue into a vibrant celebration of movement, laughter, and togetherness. Inspired by the spirit of school sports days and designed exclusively for adults aged 55+, the event brought together over 250 enthusiastic participants from across different corners of the city, with the oldest participant Mr. Surya Prakash aged 86, beautifully highlighting the inclusive and uplifting essence of active ageing.
The morning began on a deeply emotional and inspiring note with the National Anthem, soulfully rendered by singer Sunita Tikare, followed by the motivational song “Hum Honge Kamyaab.” The powerful rendition resonated strongly with participants, filling the space with optimism and collective pride. This was followed by an energising guided warm-up session led by Anjoo Chandiramani, setting the perfect tone for a morning filled with movement, fun, and friendly competition.
Recreating fond memories of school sports days, the Senior Games featured eight vibrant, colour-coded houses – Maroon, Red, Teal, Indigo, Blue, Purple, Green, and Yellow, each cheering loudly for their teams as they competed in a range of lively and engaging activities. Events included Corn Hole, Football Shoot Out, Lemon Spoon races, relays, box cricket, and interactive skill stations. Every game was thoughtfully adapted to accommodate different fitness levels, ensuring that participants could take part with confidence, comfort, and joy.
To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience throughout the day, WalkAbout had made comprehensive on-ground arrangements, including medical support on standby, water stations to keep participants hydrated, breakfast options, energy drinks, and even fun tattoo-making stations, adding a playful touch to the festivities and enhancing the overall experience for participants.
Laughter, cheering teams, and a strong sense of camaraderie filled the turf as the WalkAbout Senior Games showcased a refreshing shift in how ageing is perceived in India. The event celebrated participation over performance, connection over competition, and joy over limitation proving that movement and play truly belong at every age.
Deval Delivala, Founder & CEO of WalkAbout, said: “What we witnessed today was pure joy in motion. Seeing people try new games, cheer for their teammates, and rediscover the fun of play reinforces our belief that ageing doesn’t mean slowing down—it means finding new ways to stay engaged. Walkabout Senior Games reflect what we stand for: active ageing, community, and lifelong movement.”
With the successful conclusion of the WalkAbout Senior Games 2025, WalkAbout continues to strengthen its vision of building India’s most vibrant ‘third space’ for active agers—beyond home and work. Through curated wellness programs, cultural experiences, learning initiatives, and community-led events, WalkAbout is helping older adults embrace ageing as a phase filled with energy, purpose, and possibility.
The Games concluded on a high and celebratory note, with loud cheers and applause as the winning house was awarded the WalkAbout Senior Games Trophy, recognising teamwork, sportsmanship, and the infectious spirit that defined the day.
