Wipro, A number one global information technology, consultancy, and business process services company, and HFCL Limited, an Indian telecommunication equipment manufacturer, announced a cooperation on Thursday to develop a range of 5G transport solutions.

Cell site routers, distributed unit aggregation routers, and centralised unit aggregation routers are among the 5G transport devices that the businesses will develop to assist telcos upgrade their backhaul networks and prepare them for 5G services. We’ll draw on our extensive network equipment engineering experience, furthermore as our expertise in 5G/LTE and VLSI (Very-Large-Scale Integration) system design, engineering design services, and embedded software.

Satya Easwaran, Country Head, Wipro Limited, said, “We are certain that this collaboration would facilitate a quicker go-tWipro, which has expertise in product engineering, transport network technologies, and 5G, will collaborate with HFCL to form equipment. The offering seeks to assist businesses achieve their 5G-enabled visions and accelerate the delivery of high-quality 5G solutions to plug.

HFCL is currently investing in a very broad portfolio of 5G radio a Radio access network access network (RAN) and transportation technologies. For hardware integration, validation, and pre-certification, Wipro will use Tarang Labs, its product compliance and certification labs in Bangalore

thanks to much higher bandwidth per 5G cell site, densification of cell sites in 5G, Ethernet and IP-based transport, and new services with stringent latency requirements like drones, autonomous vehicles, and robotics-based precision manufacturing, communication service providers’ transport networks must be modernised.o-market for HFCL.” to help CSPs in transforming their transport networks, HFCL is creating 5G transport products for fronthaul, midhaul, and backhaul.

“Wipro may be a critical partner for HFCL because to its world-class engineering and in-depth experience in hardware design, embedded software, and in-house certification and compliance labs,” says the corporate (Tarang). “The full array of 5G transport products developed by HFCL will enable CSPs to update their backhaul networks and make them ready for 5G services,” said Mahendra Nahata, HFCL’s manager.

The 5G Transport products from HFCL are built on merchant silicon, network disaggregated architecture, and open standards like TIP and OCP (Open Compute Project). Wipro could be a member of the TIP community and has developed various cell site routers for CSPs round the world.
