Wow Skin Science Presents Matcha Matsuri In Collaboration With Lucky Chan, Celebrating The Launch Of The New Matcha Mud Face Wash

A multi-sensory celebration featuring authentic matcha, curated Japanese flavours, and ingredient-led skincare stories.

Bengaluru, 11th Dec: WOW Skin Science, in collaboration with Lucky Chan, hosted Matcha Matsuri at South Forum Mall, Bengaluru. The event marked the official launch of WOW’s newest innovation, the Japanese Matcha Mud Face Wash,  introduced as an extension of the brand’s growing Japanese-inspired skincare portfolio, led by the Yuzu Face Wash as its hero product.

The cross-collaboration brought together three distinct strengths: WOW’s ingredient storytelling, Lucky Chan’s contemporary Japanese flavours, and Superbrew’s authentic matcha craft. Together, they created a cultural moment that merged India’s rising love for J-beauty, culinary ritual, and experiential discovery.

Creators were welcomed through a bilingual Japanese gate and greeted by the WOW Yuzu mascot with themed drinks. A cherry blossom–themed photo booth with fans, lanterns, and ingredient props ensured instant content capture.

Guests then explored three immersive zones:
Rice Water Zone: A fast-paced Rice Chopstick Challenge inspired by traditional rice rituals, with winners receiving Fermented Rice Water Face Wash minis and Lucky Chan vouchers.
Yuzu Zone: Featuring WOW’s hero Yuzu range with the Yuzu Shots Challenge, citrus-led mocktail shots, connecting brightening skincare with flavour.
Matcha Zone (with Superbrew): Superbrew served freshly whisked and iced matcha as WOW introduced the Matcha Mud Face Wash, culminating in a high-energy Matcha Relay Challenge.

A gamified gifting mechanic added momentum, with every win expanding the guest’s WOW pouch — a natural driver for social-first storytelling.

During the activities, guests enjoyed Lucky Chan’s curated Japanese-inspired best sellers featuring dumplings, maki rolls, and mocktails. The evening closed with WOW hampers for all creators, with extra rewards for challenge winners.
