7 March 2025 Zara has opened its new store at the renowned Inorbit Mall in Mumbai, unveiling the brand’s latest global store concept and further strengthening its presence in the city.
Spanning more than 21,000 square feet on the ground floor, the store features two independent entrances unified under a single portico, providing direct access to the Women’s and Men’s sections.
The store integrates the latest technological innovations and offers an extensive range of fashion collections for women, men and kids, including a dedicated Shoes & Bags area, as well as dedicated fragrance areas in each department.
The opening reinforces Zara’s commitment to retail innovation, providing customers with a destination where fashion, architecture and advanced technology come together to create an elevated shopping experience.
Conceived by Zara’s Architecture Studio, the store has been designed to foster a welcoming yet refined atmos phere. The interior unfolds through a sequence of expansive, interconnected rooms articulated by portal frames, creating open and fluid spaces that enhance circulation and natural movement across all three sections. Open ceilings reinforce the sense of openness, while carefully curated furniture elements define each area.
Materiality plays a central role in shaping the store’s identity. A palette of neutral tones is complemented by natural wood in varied finishes—from darker to lighter textures—paired with black metal detailing, stainless steel and subtle ceramic accents. The lighting design enhances spatial contrast, alternating deep black ceilings with focused light accents. Within the Women’s section, the younger collections are distinguished by stainless steel finishes and an industrial-inspired look that reinforces their contemporary character. The Shoes & Bags area is defined by a stepped display platform and central leather seating, adding comfort and rhythm to the overall experience.
The design reflects Zara’s latest concept for global flagship stores, presenting a refreshed image and new product display areas that highlight the brand’s collections and offer a distinctive connection between the customer and the product.
INNOVATION IN CUSTOMER SERVICE
The store integrates advanced technological solutions to deliver a fully seamless omnichannel experien ce—connecting physical retail with the brand’s online platform. Customers can interact with the brand in-store or via zara.com and the Zara app, enabling real-time inventory browsing, quick product location and the collec tion of online orders within two hours. Key solutions integrated in Zara Inorbit Mall to enhance customers’ shop ping experience include:

- Assisted checkout areas per section, including accessible payment stations.
- Assisted return points for faster and more convenient returns.
In addition, the store features a cardboard collection point to invite customers to recycle online packaging. It also includes a used clothing collection container to extend the useful life of garments through a charity partner, as well as a repair booking service. Both initiatives are complemented by Zara’s online Pre-owned service for the resale of customers’ garments.
EFFICIENCY
In line with Zara’s commitment to sustainability, Zara Inorbit Mall has some of the most advanced energy efficiency solutions, including efficient heating and cooling systems, and an innovative design that reduces overall lighting intensity from LED fixtures to cut energy use further while maintaining a premium in-store environment. In addition, the store is connected to our internal Inergy platform, which centrally monitors air conditioning and electricity consumption to optimize management, improve maintenance and define strategies to reduce energy needs.
