New Delhi, July 2026: Zimero, a premium gourmet ice cream brand has launched Dot Cake Ice Creams, a first-of-its-kind innovation inspired by the dot cake trend that has taken social media by storm.
The polka dot aesthetic has jumped from fashion to food over the past few months, with colourful dotcakes and even fruit salads becoming the internet’s latest visual obsession on Instagram and TikTok. At the heart of the trend is the dotcake itself, a simple, minimalist dessert that skips elaborate piping in favour of a dense coating of crunchy nonpareil sprinkles pressed into soft frosting, giving it a retro, polka-dotted finish that’s instantly recognisable online.
Zimero has now reimagined that trend in ice cream form. The brand’s Dot Cake Ice Creams sandwich a soft sponge cake layer between rich, all-dairy ice cream and coat the whole thing in a shell of colourful sugar balls, translating the Dotcake’s signature look and feel into a frozen, scoopable format. It’s a first for the category in India, and it launched on July 1st in two flavours: Red Velvet and Strawberry Cheesecake. Within days, it had already become one of the more talked-about dessert launches in Delhi NCR.
“Dot cake has had this massive moment online, and the format just works wonderfully for ice cream; it’s fun, its nostalgic” said Shuchi Jain, Founder and Director of Zimero.
The Dot Cake launch adds to a flavour lineup that now runs over 27 bold and unique flavours, alongside sugar-free, organic jaggery and vegan options for customers who want indulgence without the trade-offs. Zimero has also branched into formats like ice cream sandwiches, cassata and Tiramisu bites and bite-sized Bonnies
Since launching as an online-first brand in February 2023, Zimero has expanded to two retail outlets in Delhi – Connaught Place and Gurgaon – while extending its delivery footprint to Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Dehradun. The brand is now gearing up for expansion into Hyderabad, and Chennai, with international markets across the Middle East and Europe also on its growth roadmap.
