As AI Redefines Work, 71% of Employees Anticipate Transformation in Roles and Responsibilities, Shows Genius HRTech Survey

National, 30th December 2025: Genius HRTech Limited (formerly known as Genius Consultants Limited), a leading Workforce Staffing Services & HR Solutions provider, has released the findings of its latest Digipoll Survey Report exploring how Indian professionals perceive the rapid rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the workplace.

The survey, conducted among 1,704 professionals across sectors, reveals a workforce that is cautiously optimistic; leveraging AI for efficiency yet concerned about the pace of change and the growing skill expectations that come with it.

When asked if they have already started using AI tools to simplify or automate their daily work, 67% said yes, showing how quickly AI is being adopted across roles. But this shift isn’t completely smooth. While 69% said AI has made their work processes simpler, 25% felt it has added complexity suggesting that even though AI cuts down on repetitive tasks, it can also create new challenges for some employees.

Trust remains a significant barrier. Only 49% of professionals said they trust AI-generated insights without manual cross-verification, while 36% do not trust them, and 15% said trust varies depending on the task.

One of the clearest gaps identified by the survey is training. A substantial 61% said their organisation has not provided adequate guidance on effective AI usage, while only 37% reported receiving proper training. This lack of structured support appears to influence how employees perceive AI adoption within their functions; 55% believe AI adoption is driven by necessity, whereas 37% feel it is trend-driven rather than need-based.

AI is also beginning to reshape the nature of work. When asked whether AI is helping them shift focus to more strategic or creative aspects of their roles, 58% agreed, and 26% said it does so to some extent, marking a steady transition away from routine tasks.

However, the findings also highlight a deeper shift in workforce expectations. An overwhelming 71% believe their role or responsibilities will significantly change in the next 2–3 years due to AI integration, reflecting both anticipation and uncertainty. Despite this, employees are clear about what they want the future to look like: 67% prefer a balanced human–AI hybrid work model, while only 5% want complete automation.

Commenting on the findings, Mr. R P Yadav, Chairman and Managing Director of Genius HRTech Limited, said, “AI is no longer a distant concept but it’s now shaping daily workflows across industries. While professionals value the efficiency it brings, they also expect companies to equip them with the right training and clarity. The future workplace will thrive only when human intelligence and AI complement each other, not compete.”

The report underscores that Indian professionals are ready for AI-driven transformation, but they expect organisations to provide support, training and clear direction to navigate this new era confidently.
