This International Tequila Day, Akina Worli is inviting guests to immerse themselves in the vibrant spirit of Mexico with an exclusive week-long celebration in collaboration with the Consulate General of Mexico and Don Julio Tequila. Starting from 17th to 24th July 2026, the limited-time experience brings together premium tequila, bold flavours, and authentic cultural influences to celebrate one of the most iconic spirits.
Throughout the week, guests can experience a specially curated menu of four signature Don Julio tequila cocktails, thoughtfully crafted by Head Mixologist Sonam Rai to showcase the distinct character of Don Julio’s premium expressions through contemporary interpretations. The limited-edition cocktail selection features Don Julio Paloma, Spicy Margarita, Don Julio Picante & Don Julio 1942 Tequila Signature serve, with each cocktail offering a unique expression of tequila through bold flavours, refined craftsmanship and Akina’s contemporary mixology approach.
Complementing the cocktail experience, Akina Worli will also feature a menu inspired by the vibrant flavours of Mexico from 17–24 July. Crafted by Chef Ganesh Pandit, the menu seamlessly blends bold Mexican ingredients with Akina’s contemporary Asian culinary philosophy. Highlights include Guacamole with Golden Fried Corn, Banana Plantain & Nori Crackers, Truffle Edamame Hummus with Raw Mango Salsa, Burnt Avocado & Tender Coconut Ceviche, Scallops Ceviche with Miso Yuzu Dressing, and King Prawns with Steam buns, each thoughtfully created to complement the tequila-forward cocktail selection.
As the highlight of the celebration, Akina Worli is hosting an exclusive, invite-only dinner on 24th July, bringing together members of community, media, industry leaders, and invited guests for an evening celebrating the rich heritage of Mexico through exceptional cuisine, thoughtfully crafted cocktails and meaningful cultural exchange.
The collaboration with the Consulate General of Mexico reflects a shared commitment to celebrating authentic Mexican culture and traditions. The Consulate has supported the initiative through cultural guidance, introductions to Mexican culinary experts, communication support, and engagement with its diplomatic network. The campaign has also been developed in consultation with the Consulate to ensure authenticity and alignment with its cultural values and branding guidelines.
