Amul, the taste of India brand, has once again proved to be the pride of Gujarat and whole of India. According to Brand Trust Report, India Study (BTR) – 2013 Amul is ‘The Most Trusted Food & Beverage (F&B) brand’ of India.
Amul brand, owned by Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCCMF), has occupied the first position among the 123 brands listed in the category. This is really a significant achievement for Amul, as it has climbed over 56 ranks compared to last year. With this, Amul has become the 22nd most trusted brand of India.
Nestle Maggi stands in a position next to Amul and was selected as the 2nd Most Trusted Food & Beverage (F&B) brand’ of India. Parle, Britannia, Coca-Cola and Cadbury’s are the other toppers in food and beverages category.
In the sub-category of dairy brands in Food & Beverage, Aarey and Mother Dairy are at the 2nd and 3rd positions, immediately after Amul. All India level rank of these brands is 390 and 406 respectively.
The Brand Trust Report, India Study (BTR) – 2013, is quite astonishing as far as Gujarat is concerned. Six other brands based out of Gujarat have become category leaders in terms of trust. In the Ice-Cream sub-category, Vadilal has been ranked as the Most Trusted Brand. Rasna got ranked as the India’s Most Trusted Powdered Drink, by beating Glucon-D and Tang. Gujarat Industrial Power Company owned by Gujarat Government was selected as the Most Trusted Infrastructure Company. Nirma became India’s Most Trusted Consumer Product Manufacturer, ahead of Hindustan Lever, Procter & Gamble, CavinKare and Marico.
Homegrown brands of Gujarat have become the category leaders in trust, mainly due to their quality aspects. This achievement is really marvelous and they reinforced the fact that business is trust oriented.
