Asus Fonepad 7 FE179CG Out with Intel Atom CPU for Rs 8,999

Taiwanbased tech giant Asus has announced the launch of Fonepad 7 FE170CG inIndia. It has to be noted that the device was showcased at the launch event of the Asus Zenfone lineup. The tablet is competitively priced at Rs 8,999 and is made available in a slew of color options such as Black, White, Red and Blue.

In terms of design, the Asus Fonepad 7 FE179CG has rounded edges and a streamlined chassis that has a high-gloss finish. When it comes to technical specs, the Asus device is given a standard 7 inch display that carries a screen resolution of 1024×600 pixels making it suitable for standard tasks.

Under the device, there is a dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor ticking at 1.2 GHz clock speed. This chipset is aided by a PowerVR SGX544 graphics engine to handle the graphics requirements of the users and 1 GB of RAM for smooth and efficient multi-tasking. The inclusion of the Intel Atom processor is claimed to render lighting fast speed when it comes to web browsing and application loading.

On the imaging front, the Asus Fonepad 7 FE179CG packs a 2 MP rear snapper at the back that supports HD 720p video recording. This rear camera is supplemented by a front-facing VGA shooter that can be utilized for basic video conferencing. Storage wise, the Asus Fonepad 7 FE179CG comes bundled with an average 4 GB of native storage space that can be expanded externally up to 64 GB by means of a micro SD card.
