Gurugram, 5th January 2024: Betterhalf, India’s leading Matrimony Super App and premier tech-enabled end-to-end wedding planning and fulfilment company, has recently announced the appointment of Aseem Sharma as the company’s new Head of Growth and Marketing. As part of the appointment, he will be responsible for leading and scaling the company’s growth, capitalising on Betterhalf’s market positioning to further accelerate the company’s expansion in the wedding services business.

Indian wedding industry lacks technology-driven advancements to drive customer acquisition at scale, facilitate seamless online bookings via product-led innovation, and simplify operations through repeatable service stacks. Betterhalf has created a playbook for weddings in India and Aseem brings forth extensive experience in the realm of growth and product leadership. With his appointment, Betterhalf is eyeing to maximise its user growth and revenue. In tandem with this, Aseem’s tech expertise amalgamated with his product-market fit building and scaling acumen will be instrumental in leveraging technology and scalability to establish Betterhalf as a leader in the wedding services market landscape.

Prior to his stint at Betterhalf, Aseem most recently served at Navi as the Head of Growth and Head of Product for its lending vertical wherein he witnessed 0-1 (product-market fit building) and 1-10 (product scaling) and also drove monthly loan disbursals with a scale beyond Rs. 1000 Cr. per month. Furthermore, being an esteemed alumnus of IIT Delhi and IIM Calcutta, he has also worked with global enterprises like Flipkart.

Following Aseem’s appointment, Betterhalf is poised to expand its wedding services footprint across the country. As a pioneer in the enterprising wedding ecosystem, Betterhalf with Aseem’s expertise will focus on scaling profitability, targeting a growth trajectory of INR 1000 Cr wedding GOV by December 2024.
