New Delhi, June 03, 2026: Propel Incubator by BML Munjal University (BMU), in collaboration with Ideabaaz — a national stage for Indian startups — has launched the Women in Tech Accelerator Program, a 12-week joint initiative designed to help women-led technology startups scale through structured mentorship, industry access, investor readiness support, and national visibility.
Today, women are increasingly driving growth and innovation across sectors. However, many promising ventures continue to face barriers in accessing capital, industry networks, mentorship, and growth opportunities needed to transition from early-stage innovation to scalable businesses.
The accelerator seeks to address these challenges by providing founders with a structured platform for business acceleration, market access, industry integration, and investor engagement to help founders build scalable and sustainable business. Select startups will have the opportunity to showcase their ventures on a national platform, earning a place in Season 2 of Ideabaaz before investors, industry leaders, and a national television audience.
Launched in the presence of Ms Anna Roy, Principal Economic Advisor, NITI Aayog; Mission Director, Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP), the Women in Tech Accelerator Program will support an inaugural cohort of five women-led startups building technology-driven solutions across high-impact sectors, including climate tech, healthcare and MedTech, artificial intelligence, DeepTech, sustainability, automation and robotics, EdTech, and social innovation.
Underscoring the importance of creating stronger pathways for women entrepreneurs to access mentorship, markets, and growth opportunities, Ms Roy said, “Women entrepreneurship must move beyond symbolic conversations and become a defining force in India’s growth story. Initiatives like the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) have played a critical role in enabling access, mentorship and opportunities for women founders across the country.
The launch of the Women Accelerator Program by Ideabaaz and BML Munjal University is a strong step towards building a more inclusive, innovation-driven India where women emerge not just as participants, but as leaders and nation-builders and WEP is happy to be an enabling partner for this initiative. “
Commenting on the launch, Mr Davinder Singh, CEO – Incubation; Professor, School of Management at BML Munjal University, said, “Women entrepreneurs are building innovative solutions across some of the most critical sectors of the economy. Through the Women in Tech Accelerator Program, we aim to provide founders with the mentorship, industry access, and investor readiness support needed to accelerate growth and transform promising ideas into scalable ventures. This initiative reflects our commitment to fostering innovation-led entrepreneurship and creating meaningful impact through technology.”
Highlighting the significance of the initiative, Mudit Kumar, Co-Founder & COO, Ideabaaz, said, “At Ideabaaz, we have always believed that great ideas deserve the right platform to grow. Through the Women in Tech Accelerator Program, we aim to spotlight talented women founders, connect them with industry and investor networks, and provide opportunities to scale their ventures. We are excited to collaborate on an initiative that not only nurtures innovation but also helps create a stronger and more inclusive startup ecosystem.”
The initiative also leverages the success of Ideabaaz Season 1, which showcased 86 startups and facilitated deals worth Rs 41 crore, including a single investment commitment of Rs 8.5 crore. Complementing this, BMU’s Propel Incubator has supported over 110 startups over the past five years, helping them raise more than Rs 110 crore in external funding. Together, the partnership brings a powerful combination of incubation expertise, investor access, mentorship, and entrepreneurial visibility to support the growth of women-led ventures across India.
The Women in Tech Accelerator Program reflects a shared commitment by BML Munjal University and Ideabaaz to foster a more inclusive innovation ecosystem. By helping women founders access mentorship, networks, market opportunities, and investment pathways, the initiative aims to accelerate the growth of scalable technology ventures while contributing to broader economic and social impact.
