16th April 2022: Bollywood star Shakti Kapoor appears in a new ad campaign for Bombay Shaving Company.

Backpro, a promotional film for Bombay Shaving Company‘s Back and Chest Shaver, includes unedited, but witty admissions from the comedy king about his lifelong encounters with body hair.

The product is positioned as a hair removal specialist and is part of the brand‘s ongoing advancements. Starting with men’s grooming products, the company expanded to include hair removal products for ladies and, most recently, a shaver for men to remove hair from their chest. Back razors were available in India from local companies and China-imported items, but Bombay Shaving Company was the first established brand to introduce them.

Despite its narrow application, the cream is useful for persons who have dense hair growth on their torso.

Back razors were available from local companies and China-imported items, but Bombay Shaving Company was the first established brand to introduce them in India.

The product is significant for persons who have dense hair growth on their chest, despite the fact that it has a niche use case. Previously, guys had to go to a salon or hire someone to shave their backs. They can, however, do it themselves at home with this DIY product. Backpro has a long, foldable handle with two cartridge-based blades that may be swapped out as they become dull. Because the handle is detachable, it may also be used to remove chest hair.

While several Bollywood performers from the 1980s and 1990s are known for their hairy bodies, like Anil Kapoor, Sunny Deol, and Jeetendra, this is merely a one-off film, with no plans for a sequel.

He agreed to do the film as soon as the company approached him, and he even co-wrote the script. While some of the stories are fictionalized, some are based on his actual life experiences.

Adhiraj Sharma wrote and directed the film, and Leap of Faith Productions’ Mohak Pajni served as the creative producer. Veteran actor Atul Parchure, who plays Kapoor’s manager and gives plenty of chuckles in this comedy adventure, also appears in the film.

The device, which costs Rs 2,295, is now only available online, and its marketing efforts will be primarily online. It will use memes and user-generated content to promote it on social media. “We want a lot of people to share this.” “We’re hoping that a large number of people will watch it naturally and share it with their friends and family,” Lobo says.

Bombay Shaving Company Women, a women’s hair removal solutions firm, has released #BreakTheHairarchy, a no-holds-barred International Women’s Day film that celebrates women’s body hair and their decision to remove it.

Although the Bombay Shaving Company only has one concept salon in Delhi where consumers can check out the items, it often offers pop-up salons and activations at malls.
