Lockdowns and social distance limits over the last two years have transformed how we interact online and what we’re seeking in a companion. Bumble, the women-first dating service, has revealed the dating deal breakers for single Indians in 2022, just in time for Valentine’s Day:

Dating goals:

Who doesn’t want to be on the same page as their friends and family? Not having clear dating intentions can be a deal-breaker for 66 percent of unmarried Indians polled as they embrace dating in 2022.

Vaccinated or not:

Protocols are still vital for daters in India, especially when it comes to safety. Almost one-third of Indians surveyed (27%) prefer not to go on a date without first discussing COVID-related safety precautions and health concerns, and up to 42% say they will not date or have sex with someone who has not had the COVID-19 vaccine.

Women who found love on Bumble share their tips and tactics for navigating online dating this Valentine’s Day:

Respect limits – Neha Agarwal, who met her husband on Bumble last year and married him a year later, says that their relationship’s honesty helped them decide to spend their lives together. Angana feels that it is critical to respect one’s personal space and limits.

“If you’re comfortable, continue conversing with your connection; if, kindly decline.” If you aren’t interested, women know how to pick up on it. “In case a lady did not have the decency to give her closure for whatever reason,” she explains.

Patience is a virtue – Meghna, who met her partner on Bumble during the lockdown in May 2020, discusses how difficult it can be for women to find trust in the internet world. As a result, it’s ideal to allow someone the time and space she needs to form a bond.

“Be direct but not overbearing. It’s wonderful to ask questions and keep the discussion going, but if she’s taking her time, don’t bombard her with too many texts. She’ll change her mind!”

Be true to yourself – Naisha Singh, who met her spouse just a week after downloading Bumble last year, was charmed by his perfect date concept, which was described on his Bumble profile as “homemade mutton curry and wine.”

“Everyone appreciates a witty, intriguing, and memorable profile,” she adds to the necessity of a thorough profile bio. What show are you now watching on television? It aids a woman’s decision to make the initial move!” “Do not rush the procedure,” Ishita advises. Things will fall into place if two people have a genuine connection.”
