Bengaluru, 29 August 2026: Zee Kannada is set to bring one of Kannada cinema’s much-awaited entertainers to television with the World Television Premiere of The Devil on 30 August at 7 PM. Headlined by Challenging Star Darshan in a powerful double role, the film brings together action, political drama, romance and emotion in a gripping story of identity, ambition and responsibility.
Directed by Prem, The Devil explores the striking contrast between two men who share the same face but come from entirely different worlds. The film delves into themes of power, privilege, leadership and the choices that shape not just an individual’s journey, but also the lives of those around them.
Darshan takes on the dual roles of Dhanush Rajashekar and Krishna, bringing two vastly different personalities to life. Dhanush, the privileged son of Chief Minister Rajashekar (Mahesh Manjrekar), is reluctant to step into the world of politics, while Krishna, a simple man from Gandhinagar who runs a small eatery and dreams of becoming an actor, finds himself drawn into a world far removed from his own. As Krishna steps into Dhanush’s identity, his journey takes an unexpected turn, bringing him closer to Rukmini (Rachana Rai) while setting the stage for a gripping clash when the real Dhanush returns.
With a strong ensemble cast featuring Rachana Rai, Mahesh Manjrekar, Achyuth Kumar and Sharmiela Mandre in pivotal roles, The Devil combines drama, action and emotion against the backdrop of politics and public life.
