Mumbai, 28 July 2026: DBS Bank India has unveiled a bold new chapter in its ongoing ‘There’s always an IDEAL Way to Bank’ campaign for the bank’s digital banking platform for businesses, DBS IDEAL. Using humour, familiar family dynamics and everyday entrepreneurial situations, the campaign transforms complex business banking conversations into stories that are simple, relatable and memorable.
In a category traditionally dominated by product demonstrations and functional messaging, the new campaign takes a refreshingly unconventional approach. The campaign comprises of eight interconnected digital films, each centred on a genuine business challenge – from tax payments and trade finance to receivables financing, cross-border remittances and export/import regularisation. Through relatable storytelling and slice-of-life scenarios, the campaign highlights the depth of solutions available on DBS IDEAL, positioning it as the trusted digital banking partner that helps businesses bank smarter, simpler and more securely.
The campaign underscores the bank’s continued focus on the SME segment as an increasingly core part of its business in India. With its trusted credentials, award-winning technology capabilities, regional connectivity and deep experience supporting businesses across Asia, DBS is uniquely positioned to help India’s rapidly growing SME sector navigate the next phase of growth.
Gaurav Rajput, Managing Director and Head, Group Marketing and Communications, DBS Bank India, said: “For decades, B2B communication has largely focused on indistinguishable, feature-led messaging within corporate settings. We wanted to challenge that principle with a simple but compelling customer insight that we gained through real customer conversations: Business owners don’t think about banking in terms of products, they think about the tasks they need to complete while running their business. Business decisions happen at home, on the move, during meals and in the countless moments in between.
‘There’s always an IDEAL Way to Bank’ campaign brings this reality to life through familiar characters and storytelling that is relatable, human and entertaining. Importantly, the campaign reflects our commitment to supporting SMEs across their growth journey, enabling them to leverage technology and seize opportunities, in line with our ambition to be among the foremost international banks serving SMEs in India.”
Built around a connected cast of recurring characters, including a family of business owners and their trusted accountant, the series blurs the lines between business and life, reflecting a powerful truth most entrepreneurs would identify with – that business banking is woven into the fabric of daily living. Whether racing to arrange urgent trade finance before a date or dealing with a flurry of last-minute tax payments amid the pressures of everyday life, the films spotlight how banking decisions are continuously embedded in the daily routines of entrepreneurs.
In a departure from industry norms, rather than focusing solely on platform features, the films bring to life the emotional and practical realities faced by SME owners, demonstrating how DBS IDEAL enables them to spend less time banking and more time growing their businesses. Additionally, the campaign brings themes such as safety, scam awareness and cross-border compliance to life with humour, helping communicate these important messages in a more engaging and memorable way.
All eight films will launch on DBS Bank India’s YouTube channel, followed by a phased rollout across digital and social platforms. Campaign content will also be amplified through customer engagement initiatives, relationship manager interactions and DBS Bank India’s extensive branch network.
The films were conceptualised in house and produced by Film Trotters Media.
