As the nation is again witnessing the peak of theirs wave, the Omicron Surge, Delhi is one among the states that have been highly affected by it and the number of cases is on a high scale.

Concerning that, the state enforces night curfew on the weekends from Friday 10 pm to Monday 5 am of the Omicron Threats. Since it is not practical to implement curfews on weekdays the government has come up with a new way out for the public.

The decision was made on the transport system of the stats, the buses and metro to run with full seating capacity but there are certain rules to be followed by the passengers who make the entry.

The government ensures to strictly follow the Covid protocols, maintain social distancing, sanitizing, and wearing masks. The passengers who wore masks will only be allowed to use the transport system and the facility put forward by the government.

The government also asks the people not to generate unnecessarily panic on the situation among others and to follow the rules and regulations implied by the government and work together to lower the cases in the situation.

The government asks the educational institutions to continue online classes for the time being till the situation is under control and also makes a word of the IT companies to allot work from home.

The government offices will have only 50% of the staff and the rest work from home and those who are engaged in essential services are excluded from the night curfew restrictions implied by the government.

In the last reports, Delhi reported around 5,500 covid cases with a test positivity rate of 8.5%. The health minister of Delhi stated that the Omicron variant is behind the infections that are being caused and more restrictions will be implemented if the hospital’s beds and oxygen cylinders run out.

According to the Delhi Disaster Management Association, if the test positivity rate is more than 5% for two consecutive dates, the state will declare to be under red alert unless there is a change seen in the test positivity rate.

Red alert specifies curfews not only on weekends but also on weekends and also halting most of the economic activities and services in the capital city.

According to the latest data by the government, only 420 out of 9,029 hospital beds are being occupied which is a relief for the government and the people.

The government also stated that since the symptoms of the Omicron variant are mild it can be cured in first-hand treatment and civiour cases will only rise once the situation is abandoned.

The government also adds to the people to take good care of themselves and if there are any symptoms consult the hospitals before it gets worsened. The government also insists to cooperate with them to the people of the capital.
