The first-ever original Telugu Hotstar Specials series,Parampara, starring Jagapathi Babu, Sharat Kumar, and Naveen Chandra; as well as the first, Telugu digital-exclusive season of the nation’s favourite reality showBiggBoss Live hosted by King Nagarjuna; 9 hours, a thrilling bank robbery directed by Krish starring Tarak Ratna and Ajay among others ; Jhansi, a web series starring Anjali in the lead role about an amnesiac woman and a devoted mother who discovers her true identity and confronts her dark past, leading her to become a reluctant vigilante, and Shaitan, a thriller written and directed by Maahi Raghav.
The new Telugu lineup on Disney+ Hotstar follows the success of titles such as Unheard, Maestro, Adbhutam, MaaOoriPolimera, and Annabelle Sethupathi, which brought diverse and unique stories specifically curated for Telugu fans, and more focus on locally relevant narratives and featuring some of Tollywood’s biggest stars in blockbuster movies.
Parampara, based on an epic tale of power and revenge, is one of Disney+ Hotstar’s first-ever original Telugu Hotstar Specials, starring superstars Jagapathi Babu and Sarath Kumar.
For the Telugu audience, it was shot on a grand scale in a never-before-seen landscape. The series, written by Hari Yelleti and directed by filmmaker Krishna Vijay L, is backed by Baahubali producers Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni of Arka Mediaworks Production.
In the coming months, Telugu audiences will get to see the release of Telugu Specials such as 9 Hours and Jhansi in months to follow
Bigg Boss Live, hosted by Star Nagarjuna, will be the first time the popular Telugu reality show will be available exclusively on a streaming platform.
