Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, to speak at the Forum, alongside global heads of state and government, business executives, financiers, innovators and thought leaders from around the world

Mumbai, May 20, 2026 – The eighth edition of the Bloomberg New Economy Forum (the  “Forum”), hosted in India for the first time, will convene more than 500 of the world’s  most influential public and private sector leaders in New Delhi on October 13-15, 2026.  Under the official theme “A World in Play: Defining the New Levers of Power,” delegates  will examine the changing state of geopolitics, identify the risks and opportunities  presented by this period of uncertainty, exchange ideas and collaborate on a roadmap  toward future prosperity.

The invitation-only event will gather current and former heads of state, central bank  governors, Fortune 100 CEOs, sovereign investors, technology founders and critical  infrastructure operators during a moment of profound global realignment. The Forum’s  newsmaking plenaries, private breakouts, and bilateral meetings will help define the  levers shaping the future – from technology and energy to critical minerals, control of  capital and payment systems. Bloomberg’s media platforms, reaching 100 million  people monthly, will deliver the Forum’s most consequential conversations and insights  to audiences worldwide.

“Today, India stands at a defining moment in its journey. India is no longer just a  destination for investment, it is a trusted partner in shaping the global future. In our  pursuit of Viksit Bharat (Developed India), we are working to build one of the most reliable growth engines of the world and a balanced world economic order,” said Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India. “In this background, it is pleasing to note that  Bloomberg New Economy Forum is going to be held in New Delhi in October 2026. The participants in this Forum will get an opportunity to experience the energy of a nation  that is not just participating in the new economy, but actively defining it.”

“We launched the New Economy Forum to bring together leaders from business and  government to navigate a rapidly changing world – and that mission has grown more  urgent in recent months,” said Michael R. Bloomberg, founder of Bloomberg LP and  Bloomberg Philanthropies. “India’s central role in innovation, investment, and global

supply chains makes New Delhi an ideal place to gather, exchange ideas, and build  partnerships that can help shape a more prosperous future.”

The 2026 Bloomberg New Economy Forum coincides with Bloomberg’s 30th  anniversary in India, marking three decades of partnership supporting the evolution of  the nation’s financial markets. As India enters its next ambitious chapter, Bloomberg  remains committed to powering the data, transparency and connectivity essential to  India’s future growth story.

Today, India stands as the second largest market globally for Bloomberg.com audience  and Bloomberg TV viewership on Connected TV devices.
